Sassoon Raise £4,000 for HABB!

As part of the 5-Live HABB Seminars, members of Sassoon's Artistic Team, Salon Managers and Sassoon Educators helped to raise a staggering £4,000 when they presented their sell out seminar at the Wella Professional World Studio in London.

The evening opened with an introduction to HABB by HABB Chairman, Phillip Rogers and was compared by Sassoon's Artistic Director Bruce Masefield. Throughout the seminar, a stream of 19 demonstration models were presented on stage where the Sassoon team wowed the audience with their cutting and colouring skills, taking influence from their most recent collection, Coquette.

The night kicked off with 5 colour demonstration models and the team explained the techniques they were using and how these techniques can be used within the salon. Using the new Sassoon colours, the team worked predominantly with red, violet, black and grey tones. After completing the techniques on stage, the models were then taken away and the finished results revealed at the end of the night.

Next, 14 cutting demonstration models were presented on stage and the team talked the audience through the techniques they were using, again always relating back to how the audience can take these techniques away and apply them within the salon to their everyday clients. The styles took influence from Sassoon's most recent collection and incorporated lots of disconnection, soft undercutting and asymmetric angles with strong influence from the classic 1920s bob. The looks were edgy and directional whilst still being soft and beautiful with a distinct Sassoon style.

The evening finished with 6 presentation models in a sultry catwalk routine and concluded with the 19 finished models on stage. To complete the night, the raffle prize was drawn and the winner won a set of three DVD's, worth over £180, of Sassoon's ABC cutting techniques.

Bruce Masefield concludes, "HABB is such an important charity for all of us as hairdressers and I see it as our duty to raise not just money for such a fantastic cause but also awareness. This seminar is a great way to make stylists aware of who HABB are and why it is so important for them to support their industry charity."
