Saks Andrew Barton makes a winning appearance on Ready, Steady Cook
Saks International Creative Director and former British Hairdresser of the Year, Andrew Barton recently swapped the salon for the kitchen with a victorious appearance on the popular BBC show Ready Steady Cook.
Andrew was invited to feature on the show as a celebrity guest alongside Nicky Hambleton-Jones his co-star from hit TV show 10 Years Younger.
Andrew cooked up a storm with his green pepper teammate, celebrity chef Lesley Waters. The winning dish was a mouthwatering Thai creation which featured Chilli Yorkshire Puddings, a nod to Andrew’s Yorkshire roots.
Nicky was partnered by chef Tony Tobin, who cooked up a lamb dish for the red pepper team. It was Andrew who came out on top however, as the audience cast their votes and presenter Ainsley Harriott declared him the winner.
For his efforts Andrew earned £100 for the Saks charity of choice, The Hair & Beauty Benevolent (HABB) which is dedicated to helping hair and beauty professionals who face difficulties.
The episode was aired on BBC2 on Wednesday March 12th.
