WHAT'S COMING UP? HABB BALL

Always a great event to open the New Year, the HABB Ball is an amazing evening; a drinks reception, three-course meal with wine, awards, and a stunning fashion show. CHRISTMAS CARDS
Thinking charity cards this year? HABB has joined with card company Kingsmead, with 40% of card sale donated directly to HABB. If you want to see sample cards, email your request to info@cardstoprint.co.uk. Or order your cards, contact HABB for a form to ensure the donation is received.

E-CHRISTMAS CARD COMPETITION
HABB received a great response to its first e-card competition - thanks to all those parents who encouraged their kids to enter! Keep checking www.habb.org as new entries will be loaded on the site during November.

WHY YOUR HELP COUNTS
HABB is supporting a 23-year-old woman to buy essential home equipment. Following years of abusive relationships and homelessness she has continued to attend college and qualified, but her life is still balancing on the edge. HABB has also invited her to be a beneficiary for the next six months so she can focus on her career, home and new life.

Another case this month demonstrates how life can change suddenly. A hairdresser for 32 years, this stylist was involved in a motorcycle accident in 2000 which left him paralysed. At the time, HABB helped with the costs towards a wheelchair. Today, HABB still supports this stylist and has agreed to cover the costs in maintaining and updating his wheelchair.

HABB is supporting a hair and beauty therapist who had worked in the industry for 17 years and was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. She needs a specially adapted bathroom to accommodate her disabilities. HABB will provide financial support to install a new bathroom.
