Eva Proudman, managing director of Racoon International, is president of HABB. Eva will raise much needed funding and promote membership growth to ensure that HABB can continue to help and support hair and beauty professionals when they most need it.
What's coming up?
HABB SEMINARS: BRUCE MASEFIELD AND THE SASSOON CREATIVE TEAM
There are a handful of tickets left to see Bruce Masefield and the Sassoon creative team on
Wednesday 2 July.
This seminar will give an inspiring insight into the unique vision of the Sassoon Young Meteors Team. Working alongside UK creative director Bruce Masefield, the young meteors will share their influences with innovative presentations, adding their own twist and excitement to this very special evening.
The Sassoon team has kindly donated a set of 'ABC Cutting Hair the Sassoon Way' DVDs as a prize for the night.
Tickets cost £35 only. Book your ticket today by calling HABB direct on 01372 849639.
HABB LANZAROTE BIKE RIDE
Due to huge success over the years, HABB has planned another sponsored charity bike ride. HABB hopes
this year's event will out shine all previous years and surpass previous fundraising targets.
This year, it is taking place on the beautiful island of Lanzarote between Saturday 8 November and Thursday 13 November and HABB is asking all participants to commit to raising a minimum of £1,700 - this will cover full-board accommodation, all Lanzarote transfers, all bike rides and a donation to HABB.
This exciting challenge comprises three-days cycling in the mountainous north, the
cultural centre with stunning seascapes, and the volcanic south. There are so many sites
to see along the way, both natural and man-made. In addition, a fourth day includes a
volcano hike, camel ride and tour. There will be time for breaks and swims in the sea and
even time at the end for a relaxing morning around a five-star swimming pool.
Book your place today by contacting HABB directly on 01372 849639.
WHO'S DOING WHAT?
Sunday 20 July will see hair teams putting their footballing skills to the test at the annual
Fellowship Five-A-Side Football Tournament. Organised by Jamie Stevens, of Errol Douglas,
London, the event offers great prizes for winners and runners-up with all proceeds to be shared
with HABB.

How can you help
HABB is helping a hairdresser, aged 51, on sick leave following breast cancer. She has had both
chemotherapy and radiotherapy and, although her position at the hair salon is still open, she is not receiving additional
sickness pay. The funds that HABB is supplying have enabled her to concentrate on getting better rather than worrying
about financial matters.
