What's coming up?

HABB SEMINARS: HABB LANZAROTE BIKE RIDE
The charity bike ride is gathering momentum with some great names showing an interest in getting involved, including staff from Guy Kremer, Headmasters, Headquarters, Wella Professionals, Paterson SA, and Schwarzkopf Professional and there are still places left.

Says Eva: "It's going to be a great short break with some fabulous views and a chance to get super fit!"

"Please note that due to a change, we now only require £1,500 to be raised by each cyclist. Great news!"

The Lanzarote Bike Ride is from Saturday 8th November to Thursday 13th November and your funds will include full board accomodation, all Lanzarote transfers, all bike rides and the donation to HABB.

HOW YOUR SUPPORT HELPS
HABB recently invited a young mother to place her 11-year-old child on the children's fund for one year. At 29, this stylist is suffering from depression and is unable to work at the moment. Following correspondence from her doctor and local benefits office, HABB wanted to ease some of her financial burdens. She is keen to get back in to hairdressing in the near future and HABB will work with her to source retraining opportunities when the time is right.

Another new beneficiary is a 32-year-old beautician who was recently diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. HABB is helping her adjust to her new life and will give advice when she is able to return to work.

Your support has also helped a 71-year-old former hairdresser regain her independence by supplying her with a new mobility scooter.

WHO'S DOING WHAT?
Eva recently judged the final of Rae Palmer's Graduate Competition, in conjunction with Schwarzkopf Professional.

Says Eva: "The talent was phenomenal and it was a great idea to raise HABB's profile with the younger generation. It was a tough competition, but all the judges chose Highbury College graduate Sophie Peach, who is working towards he NVQ Level 2. She won some fabulous prizes and will be owrking under Rae Palmer at her Southsea salon, This event also raised funds for HABB."

J&E TRAINING RAISES MORE FUNDS FOR HABB
Another great fundraising event was hosted by J&E Training. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the educational team raised an impressive £1,160 for HABB from a prize draw at their annual Achivement Awards night. The 350 guests watched as 10 salons showcased their artistic collections and received awards.

Says Eva: "J&E Training's annual fundraising for HABB is very much appreciated, and I'd also like to thank all those companies who donated the magnificent prizes on the night. Events like these are fantastic for HABB for raising funds and awareness."
