The HABB Honours

Celebrating the industry's most caring, courageous and inspirational people

Our industry charity the Hair & Beauty Benevolent (HABB) is entering a new chapter of its long history. From 2010 onwards we want to both support hair and beauty professionals in time of need AND we want to recognise and honour amazing people in our industry who have done extraordinary things.

We are looking for people working in the hair and beauty industry who deserve recognition by their peers for overcoming personal difficulties themselves, or helping others.

We are asking for nominations for two awards:

  • 1. The Outstanding Courage Award – for those who have overcome something themselves
  • 2. The Compassionate Caring Award – for those who help others

It could be that your nominee has overcome some sort of medical issue, personal circumstance or learning difficulty. Or your nominee may do amazing things in the community - they may have devoted themselves to a parent or child but still managed to work, or they may have raised lots of money for a local charity. The list is open ended – whatever it is, it has to be inspirational.

The Humanitarian Award which was introduced in 2009 (and awarded to Toni Mascolo) will remain but it will be decided by the HABB Management Committee.

All you have to do is provide us with the following and send it to the email address below: habbhonours@ntlworld.com. There is also a form attached if people would find that easier to fill in and email.

  • Name of person you are nominating
  • Where the person you are nominating works
  • Address and contact details of person you are nominating, including their phone number and email address
  • The reason you are nominating them (please give as much detail as possible)
  • Your name and contact details including phone number and email address

The winners will be announced at the HABB Honours Ball on the the 8th February 2010.
