SASSOON RAISES £4,000
Members of the Sassoon Young Meteor Team helped raise a staggering £4,000 when they presented their sell-out seminar at the Wella Professionals World Studio in London. The evening opened with an introduction to HABB by the chairman, Philip Rogers, and was comp¸red by Sassoon Uk creative director Bruce Masefield. Throughout the seminar, a stream of models were presented on stage where the Sassoon Team wowed the audience with their cutting and colouring skills, taking influence from their most recent collection, Coquette. To complete the night, the raffle prize was drawn and the winner presented with a series of three DVDs - ABC Cutting Hair the Sassoon Way - worth £190.

Says Bruce Masefield: "HABB is such an important charity for all of us as hairdressers and I see it as our duty to raise not just money for such a fantastic cause but also awareness. This seminar is a great way to make stylists aware of why it is so important for them to support their industry charity."

WHO'S DOING WHAT FOR HABB
The Fellowship football fundraising day was a huge success with over 300 people attending. Cedars Hairdressing won the tournament in an exciting final against P. Kai Hair. The football extravaganza was the brainchild of Jamie Stevens, senior stylist at Errol Douglas, London, who said: "It was a great day and the teams really put on a fine display. It feels great to five something back to the industry especially as we managed to raise £1,000 to be split between HABB and the FAME Team."
