Hairdressers Helping Hairdressers Day - THANK YOU!

Hair salons across the country took part in an exciting day of fun-draising activities to help hairdressers in need for the first ever Hairdressers Helping Hairdressers Day, on June 26.

Fundraising initiatives ranged from dressing up days, to mad hair days, bake sales and salons donating a percentage of their takings or offering blow-dries in exchange for a donation.

The day was also supported by industry bodies and hairdressing businesses with ghd dedicating a week to supporting the cause with activities including a guess the baby competition and a worst hair-do competition; while the team at the National Hairdressers Federation all wore purple for the occasion.

HABB president David Drew says: “We were so humbled to see so many people embracing Hairdressers Helping Day with such a diverse range of fundraising activities.

“As well as all of the innovative fundraisers, HABB also received more donations by text message than ever before, which was fantastic

“These funds will allow us to provide support to even more hairdressers who find themselves unable to work through ill-health or unforeseen circumstances”.
