To apply for assistance from HABB, follow this simple process:

Step 1

Write or telephone the Hair and Beauty Benevolent:

We will need to know the following:

• What help you need
• Why you need the help
• How long you have been involved in the hairdressing or beauty industries.
• When you last worked in either industry
• If it was a partner of yours who worked in the industry, we will need the same information.

Step 2

We will then send you a form, which will need to be completed giving details on your financial status and work history.

Step 3

Return the form together with copies of bank statements and proof of your involvement within either the hairdressing or beauty industry.

Step 4

On receipt of this information, your case is put to the main Benevolent committee at the following meeting. Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month.

Step 5

You will receive a letter from the Benevolent letting you know the outcome of your request for help.

Should you have any difficulty in understanding the form or if you have any queries, there is always someone in the office who will try to help you, so please give the Benevolent a call.

Each person accepted onto the scheme will have their case reviewed each year.
